It means a crew fitting out a building can pick up for three trades in one stop instead of three.

Cutting, drilling and driving
Consumables are where a job quietly loses money. A blade or a bit that is wrong for the material cuts slowly, burns out early and takes the tool with it, so it is worth telling the counter what you are cutting rather than only what size you need. We stock the range instead of the one fast moving size.
Striking, layout and measuring
Layout tools earn their place by being trusted. A level that has been dropped is worse than no level, because it produces confident readings that are wrong all day. Buy the accurate one, keep it out of the bottom of the gang box, and check it against a known reference occasionally.
Site and finishing
The unglamorous end of the wall is the part crews come back for. Shovels, stake pullers, pry bars and cords are consumed rather than owned, and running out of them stops work just as hard as a failed tool does. We keep them stocked in depth for exactly that reason.
